It was dark by the time the Raven docked in Myrmidom, and all that could be seen were the faint lights of the town. Miss Blimey had not been back to this place for a very long time and the faint sounds she could hear drifting towards them from the little city sent her reeling back as she tried to force the memories of what had happened here out of her mind.

Many years ago a tragedy had befallen this quiet village, in the time before Miss Blimey was Miss Blimey and she had lived as another unknown in the town of Credonmere. To cut a long story short she had fallen in love with a boy from Myrmidom but of course there was a problem. The boy she had fallen in love with was a Zombie, just as all of the inhabitants of Myrmidom were Zombies and they were forbidden from even speaking to each other, these living and these dead (by the way not all Zombies are flesh eating freaks so put that thought out of your head). The people of Credonmere had found out about this unearthly relationship and gone bezerk, wiping out all of the inhabitants of Myrmidom, or so they thought. After that Miss Blimey had fled, but it was not to be the first time she would be running from something.

Miss Blimey and Betty hates Veronica strode towards the town. Betty H.V didn't know exactly why Miss Blimey had felt compelled to come back here and all Miss Blimey would say is that she had unfinished business there. They headed for the bright lights of the main street and found the nearest tavern. The barman was rotting away contentedly behind the bar, but looked up in surprise at the two living girls approaching him. Miss Blimey spoke first as the barman had lost his tounge.

"Is Vincent Blackshadow still around?" asked Miss Blimey softly.

"Who wants to know?" growled a voice from the shadows.

Miss Blimey turned on her heel and walked over to the table leaving Betty H.V to try and order some drinks from the barman, which was proving more difficult by the minute as the barman's ears had just fallen off. In the corner sat a man, handsome in his own dishevelled way, his long black hair hanging in strands around his face. Miss Blimey sat down at the table and looked into the eyes of this scarred creature, and she knew.

"Vincent? Please tell me it's you, I had to find you," said Miss Blimey.

"But who are you?" he asked.

"You don't know me?" Miss Blimey was crest fallen, for some reason she thought that after all these years he would still remember her. She stood up to go.

"Wait, I...." started Vincent but couldn't finish his sentence.

"I came back for you, I had to see if you were still dead, I had this feeling that you hadn't been destroyed by those fools of Credonmere and I had to see if it was true, I'm..." but Miss Blimey didn't get to finish speaking as Vincent quickly rounded the table and kissed her.

"I missed you," he said pulling away. "I can't believe what happened to my village after they found out about us, and I tried to hate you but I couldn't, it wasn't your fault. I looked for you when they had gone but you'd left town."

"I know, I thought you were finished and I couldn't stay knowing what I had caused," replied Miss Blimey.

"Don't blame yourself, please.....but you can't stay here, soon the whole town will know you're here and they will come for you, their hatred is great since that time, you have to go," said Vincent urgently.

"Come with me," stated Miss Blimey boldly.

"I can't, you know the rules, what keeps me here, I'm bound by it," replied Vincent.

"I'll come back for you some day you know," said Miss Blimey and kissed Vincent good-bye.

"I'll wait for you, so you better," smiled Vincent, moving her towards the door and motioning for Betty hates Veronica to follow.

Once outside they could hear the rustlings of trouble heading their way joined in choir by angry voices. Miss Blimey and Betty hates Veronica ran towards the Raven, Miss Blimey only pausing to watch Vincent disappearing in the distance. Another lover lost, another weight on her heart, but she did not want a battle in this town, the Zombies of Myrmidom had already suffered enough.

The End
