Miss Blimey gently pulled away from Vincent and looked into his face, she could not believe her lover was back with her. A million thoughts fought for control of her mouth, but none it seemed were capable of winning.

"I had to find you," stated Vincent softly, breaking the spell of the moment.

"But how?" asked Miss Blimey, fighting to hold back her tears.

"My amulet," answered Vincent. "It is cast from the earth of Myrmidon and keeps me alive, thus it is also my weakness I guess. I hitched a ride on a ship called the Nevermore to the port of Evilwren and then I stole this ship, though I'm not much of a captain, yet."

Vincent smiled and Miss Blimey kissed him again. Alarm bells rang gently in the back of her mind. The Nevermore. So Vincent had been with Blade. Did Blade know what Vincent's connection to her really was? Where was Etype Jagwar? Surely he was missing his ship and would come looking for it, which would mean more trouble. She knew they had better get back aboard the Raven and figure out what to do next.

Helping Vincent to his feet Miss Blimey hugged her lover briefly for a moment and called to Betty hates Veronica.

"It's not Etype, it's Vincent!".

"What? How?" called back Betty H.V.

"We're coming over, I'll explain then," returned Miss Blimey as her and Vincent swung over to the Raven.

Betty hates Veronica didn't quite know how she should react. On the one hand she was relieved that it was Vincent and not Etype who had been captaining the Obscurity but on the other she knew that an evil villain would be heading their way to reclaim his ship. And what of Blade? What did Vincent's sudden appearance in Miss Blimey's life mean for that little situation. Betty H.V was still pondering these questions when Miss Blimey rushed up and clapped a hand on her shoulder.

"Nice work saving the Raven," she said.

"Thanks, you didn't do to badly yourself," replied Betty hates Veronica smiling broadly at her friend, before turning her attention to Vincent. "Nice to see you again."

"Uh, thanks," he replied somewhat bashfully. "Sorry about the.... nearly smashing into your ship."

"Oh we're quite used to things like that," laughed Betty H.V at his humbleness. "I'll get us some drinks, I think we could all do with one," she finished, turning to run down to the galley and leaving Miss Blimey alone with her beau for the time being.

"Vincent, you took a great risk coming here, I have enemies you know, and now so do you," stated Miss Blimey gently.

"I know, but I don't care, I had to find you, ever since you came back to Myrmidon you're all I can think about. I love you," explained Vincent, reaching out to hold her, but Miss Blimey turned sharply away.

"I have to get you back, I will not let you put your life on my line like this, it cannot work Vincent, between us, you know that," she said to the wind, which had picked up sharply, as if to slap her in the face.

Vincent felt like he had just had a dagger stuck through his heart or had all his favourite toys confiscated.

"Well, think what you may, I'm not leaving you," he stated, before the thought dawned on him. "Is there someone else who has your affections now?" he asked grimly, not really wanting an answer but unable to stop the question before it left his mouth.

Miss Blimey didn't answer, but instead looked up at the moon. Tears threatened to escape her eyes and roll down her pale cheeks, but she would not let them. She had not spent the last five years learning not to care to much to have it all taken away from her now.

"Is there?" asked Vincent again and Miss Blimey knew she owed him some kind of reply. Thoughts flew through her mind like razors, cutting here and there as she tried to formulate an answer that would not be a lie. An answer that would not hurt Vincent, and that would not slice her own heart in two.

Finally she turned to him.

"Yes and no is your answer, there was.... I...." She could not finish her sentence. The tears that she had been trying so hard to keep back broke through her resolve and casecaded down her face. Vincent moved to her and pulled her into his arms. Miss Blimey buried her face in his chest and sobbed. Vincent gently lifted her chin and looked into her eyes, and Miss Blimey knew she could not let Vincent go. He kissed her again just as Betty H.V returned with their drinks, breaking the silence. Miss Blimey turned and wiped her tears away. That was the first and last time in a long while that she would ever cry again.

"So what's going on here besides the obvious lovers reunion?" asked Betty hates Veronica tyring to dissolve the serious mood that had settled on the Raven. She did not care for seriousness, and often found it to be quite dull, unless it led to a fight of some sort.

The trio retired to the captain's quarters, and sat sipping their drinks thoughtfully, as Miss Blimey explained to Vincent just exactly who's ship he had stolen and why they were all now in a bit of strife. Miss Blimey decided that the best thing for them to do for the time being was to stay put and let Etype find them. She hoped that they could simply return his ship and that would be the end of the story. Miss Blimey had heard much about the pirate Etype and wasn't entirely confident that they could beat him in battle. Strange things had happened to those who had faced him in the past. Some said he was a sea monster masquerading as a man, others said he was a demon, some still said he was a weird looking polar bear. Miss Blimey believed none of these tales, but still her thoughts were dark. She did not let on her doubts to the other of course. Yet she also did not count on what Vincent said next.

"Can I keep the ship?"

"What? Why? No it's just trouble on water now," replied Miss Blimey in astonishment. She had had no idea that Vincent actually liked the whole sailing around the ocean gig, and was disappointed that he would want a vessel of his own. Wasn't the Raven good enough? She did however understand the temptation of having your own ship and couldn't really blame Vincent. The Obscurity was, after all, a beautiful vessel.

"Oh," was all the saddened Vincent would say.

"You must understand, Vincent, we have to return this ship. Etype is no ordinary pirate, his crew are vicious. He is hunting us now even as we speak and the easiest thing for us to do is return the Obscurity to him and be done with it."

"I do understand, but I will miss her," he replied.

"I know, and I will let you steer the Raven anytime you want," Miss Blimey soothed, as she stood to leave the room, kissing Vincent lightly on the cheek on her way out. The others followed her up to the bridge and together they watched the sun rise.
