The Raven had pulled into yet another strange port. Miss Blimey felt they were low on supplies, there being only 3 bottles of Wild Turkey and a handful of peanut M'n'M's left in the galley. Betty hates Veronica had been complaining about this for a while, she hated M'n'M's. Miss Blimey was sick of hearing about it. The plan was to find a town and raid the Gen-store, not as romantic as raiding another ship on the high seas granted, but they had not bumped into anyone for a while so that option was voided by default. They left the Raven tied to the dock and strutted into the town. A small gangly sign stuck to a nearby lobster informed them that they were in Redemption Claws, population: You.
"How....interesting," observed Betty hates Veronica.
"Just keep your eyes peeled OK," warned Miss Blimey, who had a bad feeling about the place. The lobster was a dead giveaway - this town was going to be trouble. A lobster by the dock always meant trouble in Miss Blimey's book. Miss Blimey and Betty hates Veronica walked the short distance up a dirt track to what they believed to be the Gen-store. It wasn't, but inside they found what they were looking for. Supplies, wonderful supplies. They filled their collapsible wheelbarrows to capacity and headed back to the Raven, surprised that the raid had been so uneventful, but just as they rounded a small bend in the curvature of the road they came upon an ambush.
"Gosh, darn and bother it you fools!" screamed Miss Blimey. "Why can't I just raid a town without incident?!"
"Put down the loot and no one gets hurt," spake their leader, a small pink fleshed fish mammal man.
"Not on your life, which I think I'll just take," replied Miss Blimey as she withdrew her trusty cutlass from its sheath and proceeded to kill all and sundry. Betty hates Veronica, who was used to this kind of behaviour, took the supplies on board the Raven whilst the battle ensued and when Miss Blimey was over the bloodshed, she joined her on board.
"Another day, another plunder," sighed Miss Blimey, tired from the battle. "Those short buggers sure can pack a sword."
"Must you always kill everyone?" asked Betty hates Veronica.
"You knew the score when you signed on Missy," replied Miss Blimey and set course for parts unknown.
The End
