The sea had been rough for three days now and Miss Blimey was worried that they would not reach the next port before the storm finally broke. The Raven rocked and rolled on the waves like a berry on the knife edge as they headed like lightening for the shores of Gurder. There Miss Blimey had been instructed to pick up her next cargo. It was not a total life of plundering and folly for this young pirate mistress, and sometimes a paid smuggling run helped to keep them financially afloat in these heady times. An hour passed before Betty hates Veronica finally spotted their destination, "Land Ho!" she cried.
"Thank the makers of Wild Turkey for that!" replied Miss Blimey as the storm clouds finally let loose their terrible vengeance on the land and sea below. The Raven coasted into the dock and Miss Blimey jumped down to tie her up for the night.
"We can't leave 'til the storm passes, it's just to damn annoying, all that weather," said Miss Blimey as Betty hates Veronica joined her on the dock.
"Fine by me," replied Betty hates Veronica as they walked into the town of Gurder, making their way towards the nearest tavern to grab a warming counter meal and pick up their passenger.
"OK, his name, as far as I know, is Y something. I don't know anything else," said Miss Blimey as they entered the Hog's Leg Fillet Taverna.
"That has to be the one," smiled Betty hates Veronica staring at the giant letter Y sitting in the corner.
"Right you are," replied Miss Blimey and went to greet their thing.
"So, Y, you right to leave at first light?" asked Miss Blimey.
"Hmrph....may have to leave before that," said the Y. "Got some bad types round here who don't like the alphabet, gonna be trouble with them Phosphons over there," finished Y.
"Great, bloody alphabetists, what more do I need right now?" pondered Miss Blimey under her breath.
"You probably don't need my finger in your ear," stated the nearest Phosphon, "now give us the Y and we'll let you walk out of here alive."
"You should never stick your finger in a ladies ear!" yelled Miss Blimey as she whirled on her opponent, and felled him with one swing of her blade.
"C'mon Y, we're getting out of here," said Betty hates Veronica, grabbing one diagonal arm and pulling the second last letter of the alphabet out the door.
"What about her?" asked Y, concerned.
"She'll be along shortly, I have to get her drink ready," replied Betty hates Veronica. Ten minutes later they were all safely back on the Raven and pulling out of the harbour.
"I hate sailing in the rain, it gets in your drink!" laughed Miss Blimey as the Raven ploughed through the heavy seas to take Y home.
The End
